This January marked the first Shot Show for the Allen Engineering crew. It was a very busy week for us with meetings and setting up future projects. This upcoming year is going to be an exciting one!
While there are many projects we are currently working on that we wished we could show you, we chose to wait to unveil them until they are closer to full release. Besides our inhouse projects, here are two cool rifles that were shown at Shot Show.
Rifle Dynamics AK Niner
A few months ago Henry from 9-Hole Reviews put us in contact with Rifle Dynamics to work on making OPS style suppressors compatible with AKs. Henry had a 5.56 AK that Ron fit up with an AEM5 that he dubbed the AK Niner. We will go more in-depth on this build at a later time. But that rifle stood as a proof of concept that AE suppressors could work on AKs. Suppressors and AKs don’t normally work well together, so this project would have only been possible with a top tier AK manufacturer like RD due to the quality their of parts and assembly.
They revealed the prototype at Shot Show and we were able to show it off at the RD Open House. RD is still fine tuning the design, but we are exited to see what they come up with.
